About facebup

facebup is a vault for your pet’s records. Receipts, appointments, prescriptions, vaccination records, photos — kept in one place, controlled by you.

Why it exists

Your pet’s history gets scattered. A vaccination card in a drawer, a receipt in your inbox, a prescription label you photographed once and can’t find. When you switch vets, move, or need a record in a hurry, you’re piecing it back together.

facebup keeps it in one timeline. You own it, you organize it, and you can take it with you. The records are portable and they belong to you — not to us.

What facebup does today

Your records are never sold

This is the part we won’t soften: facebup will never sell your pet’s records. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not anonymized, not ever. It’s written into our terms of service as a one-way door — a promise we can’t quietly walk back later.

We also won’t share your records without your say-so. Now and then we may offer optional programs you can opt in to — a research study, a partner perk — that involve sharing certain records. Those are always your choice: we tell you exactly what’s shared and with whom, nothing moves unless you say yes, and you can opt out anytime. No opt-in, no sharing.

You’re not the product here. Your records are yours.

Always a free vault

There will always be a free facebup. Storing, organizing, exporting, and deleting your pet’s records is free for everyone — no paywall, no trial clock, no premium tier holding your records hostage.

Down the road we’ll offer premium features through paid “seats” — paid for by you, or sponsored by a provider you work with, like your vet. They’re extras on top of the free vault, never a gate in front of your existing records. And because the vault is always free, your history survives the gaps: if a sponsored seat ends or you switch to paying your own way, your records stay yours.

We may also earn a little by pointing you toward things you’d look for anyway — pet insurance, supplies — but only ever as an honest recommendation, never by touching your records.
